I am a thirty year career professional with Scouting America and currently serve as the Scout Executive for the South Plains Council, headquartered in Lubbock, Texas.
As a youth, I was actively involved in scouting and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. I spent my summers as a teenager working at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch and have fond memories of the week I spent backpacking at Philmont, attending a National Jamboree, and being selected to become a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow.
I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BS in Political Science. Barb, my wife, and I were both in the marching band at Mizzou. Following graduation, I spent six months in Washington, D.C. working as an intern for U.S. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell.
Barb is a Registered Representative at an independent investment firm in Lubbock. We have one son, Carter, who is an Eagle Scout and completed his project in Monteverde, Costa Rica.
As a family, we enjoy exploring the United States with our 5th wheel, skiing in Colorado, and traveling abroad with family and friends.
